Vera is 30 years old and is a Portuguese Speech and Language Therapist.
Vera completed a Masters in Clinical Linguistics. Vera is excited to put her years of study into action and help children learn to communicate better. Vera has used a blend of approaches to help each child individually and has had very successful results. Vera is also trained in alternative communication systems that go from unaided systems, such as Makaton, to aided ones, such as PECS. Vera has a lot of experience in oral motor impairments, dysphagia and feeding management.
By applying the different protocols such as TalkTools, for feeding and articulation, or Kaufman and PROMPT for speech, each child can realise their goals and improve faster.
Working with children allows me to be a part of so many "firsts" - their first word, their first solid food, the first time they respond to their name... it is a road full of discoveries and smiles that teaches you to celebrate little steps every single day.

Managing Director

Amal is a graduate of the American University in Cairo with a Major of Computer Science, Minor in Electronics with highest honors.
Amal has always been passionate about her community and in particular working with special needs children. Amal is a mum of 3 beautiful children, her youngest child was stillborn due to medical malpractice and as a result she has Cerebral Palsy.
Amal started reaching out to all special needs parents in the UAE and formed a small support network. It grew fast and now the group has 70 mums and it is called “Beautiful mums”. It is a group to give each other guidance, comfort and support. From this group and travelling the world Amal has discovered some amazing therapies not available in the UAE. So this is why Amal created the Hope abilitation medical center.
I felt that this knowledge should be shared with others in a similar position. After seeing my child respond to these therapies I knew I could help other mums and their children see results. We need to find our tribe and love them hard.
