Jaline is a Registered Behavior Technician and has been Board Certified with the BACB since 2019. She is Proficient in trial by trial and cold probe Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) as well as Natural Environment Teaching (NET).
Jaline received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, Philippines in 2018. Jaline completed her internship at Cavite Center for mental health in the Philippines and was invited to present her experimental paper entitled “Say Something Nice: The Influence of Positive words to Emotions” at the International Conference in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2017.
Jaline’s genuine interest in taking care of special needs children, as well as clients with mental health disorders, has led to her time investment in continual education within this field. After graduating, Jaline attained a role as a Shadow Teacher in an Inclusion Centre in Dubai, UAE. Within this role, Jaline was responsible for assisting on daily activities such as, but not limited to, reading, writing, teaching vocal approximation on non vocal children, playing and doing fine motor, sensory, social and exercise activities with the children, giving necessary prompts and fading out to establish independency in classroom activities and social situations as well as Activities of daily living (ADL) it includes dressing, feeding, toileting, etc. Task was broken down into behavior chains that are appropriate for the student and their abilities and taught through imitation and a variety of prompt levels. While also teaching how to mand for help vocally or using makaton sign when the task is difficult.
Managing behaviors by count and mand procedure, setting a picture time table and following the reinforcement schedules given by the BCBA and identifying the Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence (ABC).
Jaline was later assigned to the ABA Department, working under the direct supervision of a BCBA. Jaline assisted with assessments, baselining client skills, and implementing DTT programs. Jaline specifically worked with clients who were non-vocal on implementing AAC devices such as Proloquo2go. In addition, Jaline has extensive experience on challenging behavior reduction such as escape related behavior and sensory behavior.
