Occupational Therapist
Virginia Longo Pastor is a highly skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a strong academic foundation and extensive hands-on experience in early intervention, sensory integration, and paediatric neurological rehabilitation. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and has dedicated her entire career to supporting children’s developmental progress.
Since 2021, Virginia has worked as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist at a leading hospital in Madrid, providing specialised support to infants and young children with diverse developmental needs. Her clinical expertise includes sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, functional independence training, and structured family coaching. She is deeply committed to helping every child achieve meaningful, measurable progress through evidence- based, play-centered therapy.
Virginia has completed multiple postgraduate specialisations in Paediatric Occupational Therapy, Paediatric Sleep, and Comprehensive Treatment for Neurological and Sensorimotor Disorders, enabling her to approach each case with a holistic, research-driven perspective.
She has contributed to scientific research and presented at Spain’s National Early Intervention Congress (2023), where she shared findings on the impact of rehabilitation on quality of life in children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type III. She also mentors occupational therapy students and actively participates in caregiver education, delivering lectures at national conferences.
Her ongoing professional development includes advanced training in sensory integration (Ayres SI, USC), DIRFloortime®, early intervention, feeding and autonomy promotion, paediatric cognitive rehabilitation, and key therapeutic approaches such as the Bobath and Castillo Morales concepts.
