PLANNED CHECKPOINTS

Your Baby’s Checkpoint Calendar

Each visit gives you time to discuss your questions, review your baby’s growth and development, and understand what comes next.

Newborn — A supported start

Review feeding, weight, newborn screening records and early health concerns. The appointment timing follows your baby’s discharge plan.

1 and 2 months — Settling in together

Discuss feeding, sleep, early interaction and movement, alongside your baby’s growth and general health.

4 and 6 months — Discovering and exploring

Review movement, play and interaction, with guidance on feeding readiness, complementary foods and safety.

9 months — A closer look at development

Review communication, movement, play and feeding, including a formal developmental screening.

12 months — The first-birthday review

Look back at your baby’s progress, discuss nutrition and oral health, and plan care for the year ahead.

15, 18 and 24 months — The toddler years

Discuss communication, movement, behavior, nutrition and everyday routines, with screening at the appropriate appointments.

Children develop at different rates. These checkpoints provide opportunities to review progress and discuss concerns; they are not deadlines for achieving every skill. Your doctor may recommend a different schedule or additional care based on your child’s needs.

YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS, IN ONE PLACE

Your Baby Steps Passport

Keep track of the little changes and the next steps. Your Baby Steps Passport brings together your child’s growth records, developmental observations, questions and care recommendations.

After each checkpoint, it helps you see:

  • Your baby’s growth and the clinician’s feedback.

  • The developmental skills discussed or observed.

  • Practical activities and guidance for home.

  • Any recommended follow-up or referral.

  • Your next scheduled appointment.

If your child needs additional support, your doctor can discuss referral options and coordinate with relevant HOPE teams, including feeding, nutrition and rehabilitation services. Additional assessments and treatment are arranged according to your child’s needs and billed separately unless included in your package.

For urgent medical concerns, seek timely medical advice rather than waiting for a scheduled checkpoint. For emergencies, seek emergency care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is HOPE AMC Baby Steps?

Baby Steps is a prepaid program of scheduled baby and toddler health checkups, growth and developmental reviews, and parent guidance. The appointments and additional support depend on the package you choose.

Who carries out the medical checkups?

HOPE AMC’s general practice service is provided by licensed general practitioners with backgrounds in pediatrics. Our team will confirm the clinician delivering your package and arrange referral to a specialist pediatrician when appropriate.

Can we join if our baby is already a few months old?

Yes. Contact our team with your baby’s age and details of previous checkups. We will explain the appropriate remaining checkpoints and provide a tailored quotation.

Are vaccinations included?

Vaccination-record review and planning are included in scheduled checkups. Vaccine administration and vaccine costs are separate unless explicitly included in your written package. Our team will confirm availability and arrangements.

What is the difference between a milestone review and developmental screening?

A milestone review is a discussion and observation of how your child is growing, moving, communicating and interacting. Formal developmental screening uses a standardized tool to identify whether further assessment may be helpful. A screening result is not a diagnosis.

What happens if a concern is identified?

Your doctor will explain the findings and recommend the next step, which may include monitoring, further assessment or a specialist referral. Any additional services and fees will be discussed with you.

Does the package include appointments when my baby is unwell?

My First Year Plus includes two additional doctor consultations that can be used for illness or follow-up. Other packages cover the appointments listed in their inclusions. Additional visits can be booked separately.

Can the program support a baby born prematurely or with additional medical needs?

Please speak with our team before enrolling. Your baby may need an individualized schedule or specialist follow-up. The doctor will advise whether a standard package is suitable.

Can I purchase the package before my baby is born?

You can contact our team during pregnancy to discuss the program and enrollment arrangements. The newborn appointment will be planned around birth and discharge guidance.

What if we miss an appointment or move away?

Our team will explain the rescheduling, package validity, cancellation and refund terms before payment. Please contact us promptly if your circumstances change.

Is the package covered by insurance?

Coverage depends on your policy and the services involved. Please confirm eligibility with our team and your insurer before purchasing. Package purchase does not guarantee reimbursement.
