Ishara Ravihari is a highly skilled and compassionate licensed Speech & Language Pathologist with extensive experience across hospital, clinical, educational, and private practice settings. She provides comprehensive, evidence-based assessment and intervention for a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders in both pediatric and adult populations.
Her areas of expertise include speech and language delays, social communication disorders, cognitive-communication impairments, voice disorders, and feeding and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). Ishara is particularly recognized for her advanced clinical work in pediatric feeding disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and oral-motor rehabilitation.
Ishara’s therapy approach is individualized, goal-oriented, and deeply client-centered. She combines scientifically proven methods with a warm, engaging style to create meaningful and functional progress in every session. Her focus is not only on improving skills within therapy but also on ensuring real-life carryover through structured caregiver coaching and practical home programs.
With extensive experience supporting children with speech and language delays, late talkers, and communication difficulties, Ishara works with individuals at all stages of development, from those who are just beginning to communicate to those with more complex needs. She also has strong clinical experience across a wide range of conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, acquired brain injuries, and adult neurological disorders. Ishara is known for her ability to design highly individualized intervention plans that address each client’s unique strengths and challenges. Her sessions are dynamic, interactive, and built around measurable outcomes, ensuring steady, meaningful, and visible progress.
In addition to her clinical excellence, Ishara is actively involved in research and innovation. She served as the principal investigator of a dysphagia screening tool for children with cerebral palsy, which was presented at internationally recognized platforms, including the ASHA Convention (USA). Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing clinical practice and improving patient care.
Ishara holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Science and has undergone extensive post-graduate, specialized clinical training to stay at the forefront of her field. She is dedicated to continuous professional development and delivering the highest standard of care.
