Why Is My Child Crying During Physical Therapy? Is It Painful?

Children often express their perceptions through crying, especially if they haven’t developed speech. Physical therapy generally inflicts physical challenges that may be tiring or uncomfortable to the children, specifically during the early stages of therapy. Think about going to the gym, it’s not the most comfortable place is it? However, as we progress through the treatment program and as we give the child the time to adapt to the new therapist and the new setting, the crying will decrease over time.
