Kenneth
Kenneth is a BACB Registered Behavior Technician and a Professional teacher in the Philippines. He is a Special Education teacher and an ABA practitioner with a 5 years’ experience teaching adult and kids with special needs particularly diagnosed with autism who have problems with communication skills, social skills and academic skills.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from The National Teachers College and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers in September, 2015. He worked as a Special Education Teacher for 2 years in Independent Living Learning Centre, a SpEd school in the Philippines where he taught in a class of diverse kids and adults with disabilities. He taught functional and essential subjects such as Communication arts, Functional Math, Pre-Vocational, Life Skills and Community Living.
Kenneth started working as a Behavior Therapist in 2017 and learned the principle of Applied Behavior Analysis from an ABA center in the Philippines where he worked for 2 years. He strongly believes in collaboration between the therapist and the parents in achieving the full potential of the child. He is committed and delivers to the best of his ability the service necessary for the children’s progress by applying the concepts and strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis. He also applies the necessary procedures in teaching different language and learning skills (e.g. receptive language, labeling, play and leisure, and self help skills).
Kenneth got his certification as Registered Behavior Technician in 2018 where he worked as a Behavior Analyst Technician in an Autism Center in Dubai Health Care City. He was exposed with trainings from various BCBAs’ that made him capable of conducting quality behavior therapy sessions for his clients. He also was exposed and knowledgeable with different kinds of assessment tools namely VBMAAP and ABLLS-R assessments.
Currently, Kenneth Dela Pena is a full-time Behavior Therapist at Hope-Abilitation Medical Center.
